Karolina Filosek Gestalt Therapist
I am in a certified Gestalt therapist, an experienced Co-active coach, and a coaching supervisor. Currently offering one-on-one and group sessions in Krakow and online via video conference.
Working with me, you will get my full attention. I will listen empathically as you unfold your unique life story. I will strive to better understand the context of your present situation, as together we explore your interior world.
I provide a safe and confidential environment to explore areas of confusion or difficulty and offer support in finding ways to resolve conflict within or with those around you.

What the Gestalt therapy is?
Gestalt Therapy focuses on the whole of an individual's experience; their thoughts, feelings and actions, and concentrates on the 'here and now' - what is happening from one moment to the next. Roughly translated from German, Gestalt means 'whole' and was developed in the 1940's by Fritz Perls. The main goal of this approach is for the individual to become more self-aware, taking into account their mind, body and soul.

What happens in a Gestalt therapy session?
​
There’s no one way of conducting Gestalt therapy - each therapist will bring their own style, presence, and space to support you to be more self-aware.
During the session, we would focus on where you feel certain emotions in your body, to reveal more understanding of underlying emotional experiences. Gestalt therapy is interactive and you can expect your therapist will not remain passive during the sessions. Gestalt therapist involves themselves in the therapy and shares what you are evoking in them as a way of dialogue.
A session might but does not have to involve experiments, such as using objects in the room or drawing.
A common technique is using an empty chair and many others.

Our first appointment will be a chance to get to know each other. If we then agree to continue with therapy, either short or long-term, we can make an arrangement to move forward.
Sessions take place weekly, they last 50 minutes each.
In a safe, non-judgmental way we can explore what it is like to be you. I welcome individuals and couples irrespective of age, gender, background, sexuality, sexual identity, ethnicity, nationality or ability.
